Day 3: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala – Departure.

The 3 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Trekking and Wildlife Group Tour will give you an opportunity to explore Kyambura Gorge which is home to human-like chimpanzees. Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge is not as exceptional as that of Kibale national park, but the experience is worth the attention as it can easily be combined with other safari activities in Queen Elizabeth national park. You will also enjoy a game drive and a boat cruise at Kazinga Channel – the water body that connects Lake George to Lake Edward. You will enjoy multiple animal, plant, and bird species during this safari. Some of the animals you should expect include; a lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, warthog, gazelle, Uganda kob, chimpanzee, and hippopotamus, to mention but a few.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park

Upon arrival at the Entebbe airport or breakfast at your lodge in Kampala, you will meet our professional driver-guide for briefing. They will take you through what your 3 Days Uganda Chimpanzee Trekking and Wildlife Group Tour will look like.

You will then embark on the drive to Queen Elizabeth national park using the Kampala – Masaka – Mbarara – Kasese highway. The journey is quite long (about 6 hours) but the experience is a rewarding one. You will make your first stopover at the Uganda Equator just a few kilometers from Kampala city. Here you will get a chance of stepping into the two hemispheres of the earth at the same time. The second stopover will be at a hotel in Mbarara city from where you will have lunch.  Drive through rolling hills, lush vegetation, trading centers, and plantations.

Upon arrival, check in to your earlier booked lodge, have dinner, and spend the night over.

Meals:  Lunch, and dinner.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel

After an early morning breakfast, you will go to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking. The activity starts with briefing and grouping. You will then walk the forest in the company of a professional guide/ranger. Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge is a rewarding safari activity as it comes with spectacular views of other forest dwellers such as birds and monkeys. Seeing the chimps fast depends on how fast you can walk and where they spend the previous night. The whole activity takes about 3 hours. Upon encounter with them, you are given one hour to spend in their presence. Take as many pictures as you wish but ensure to follow the rules and regulations.

Return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation.

In the afternoon, you will go to Mweya for a boat cruise at Kazinga channel. This channel is a gathering place for quite a number of wildlife species. A lot of drama happens here as the prey succumbs to the deadly jaws of Africa’s deadliest hunters. You will also enjoy spectacular views of the neighboring features such as the Rwenzori Mountains.

In the later hours of the day, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
