The 9 days gorilla trekking safari in Uganda takes you to the strongest falls in the world, gorillas in the wild, tree climbing lions of Ishasha coupled with extraordinary landscapes and cultures.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be met by a welcoming Love Uganda Safaris representative at the airport who will receive you and take you to a nearby hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for an overnight. Depending on your time of arrival, you may wish to have a city tour in either Entebbe to explore the small luxurious town located in the southwest of Kampala and near the shores of Lake Victoria or you may choose to have a Kampala city tour that will offer  a range of sightseeing experience including the Uganda Museum, craft markets a long Kampala, to mention but a few.

Or choose to take relax at the hotel refreshing from a long airfreight Journey as you await the next day to start exploring the pearl of Africa for the remaining 8 days

Day 2: Transfer to murchison falls park
Start the day two 9 Days Uganda gorilla trekking safari in Uganda and wildlife tour with a mouth-watering breakfast at your hotel and set off for a 5-hour drive to Murchison falls national park in the northwest with the company of the Love Uganda Safaris guide, you will enjoy the beautiful sceneries as you travel, have memorable Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, you will enjoy this experience of tracking Rhinos for 2 hours on foot under the guidance of a local guide then after, continue to Kabalega Dinner for your lunch.

Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda with 3,893 square Kilometers and harboring over 70 mammal species with the strongest waterfalls in the World. upon your arrival, you will have an evening game drive to view many animals including the Kobs, Elephants, Lions, Buffalos, Leopards, and many more. Retire from the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight.

Day 3: In Murchison falls park early morning drive and afternoon boat cruise

Have your early breakfast at 6:00 am, Proceed for 3-4 hours early morning game drive. There you will have a chance to enjoy viewing many animals including lions, leopards, birds, elephants, and buffalos, among others. Continue to the afternoon boat cruise after lunch, having a chance of viewing many animals including

Crocodiles, hippos, birds, and many more. You will have the option of disembarking the boat and hiking to the top of the falls.

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest Park
Have breakfast at your lodge and thereafter set off for a journey to the primate capital. The road has been worked upon and previously what was a long journey is shorter because of the swift transition. You will arrive in fort portal town in time for lunch. And if time permits, have a short trip to the local caves, Amagere where you will enjoy the beautiful scenery and falls. Later proceed to Kibale forest for an overnight.

Day 5: Chipm tracking and transfer to Queel Elizabeth park
Early morning at 07:15 am, you will have breakfast then leave to Kibale forest National Park headquarters for briefing. Enter into this beautiful lush forest for chimpanzee trekking. There you will have a good view of chimpanzees including other primates like the L’hoests, Colobus, and Blue and Red-tailed monkeys. In addition, you will find the grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and several bird species, butterflies and various small insects, you will spend good time with these unique primates (chimps) as you try to interact and learn about their usual lives. You will finally retreat to your lodge to pick your luggage for a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park via Rwenzori Mountain and Kasese town.

Day 6:  Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

After a splendid morning cup of coffee at your hotel, embark on the drive across the undulating rolling savannah rangelands of Queen Elizabeth in search of wild game. The stretch to the Kasenyi plains, the renown mating ground offers you a lifetime opportunity of encountering numerous families of wild game in a single glance including elephants, buffaloes, water bucks, and Kobs along with predators like lions, leopards, and jackals.

The game drive takes 3 – 4 hours and you retreat back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. After lunch, you continue to Mweya jetty to catch up with a boat trip at exactly 4pm. The 2-hour boat cruise offers a chance to explore the 45km long Kazinga Channel which links the twin lakes, George and Edward, the channel is known to be the capital of Hippos and Nile crocodiles. Its banks are usually fully stocked with a variety of wild game like elephants and buffaloes which can be seen along quenching their thirst from the Kazinga waters on a hot day. Retreat from the activity and do the game drive along the channel track as you proceed to the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi gorilla forest via Queen Elizabeth park ishasha secotor- Tree climbing lions

After breakfast, you set off for a short game drive in search of rare tree-climbing lions.

After the game drive, exit the park and continue to Bwindi impenetrable forest – in the southern sector. The forest provides a base for relaxing and exploring the pearl of Africa, tracking mountain gorillas in the nearby Bwindi Impenetrable national park.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking day

After an early morning breakfast with your packed lunch, you will be briefed by your ranger / tour guide and after start your gorilla trekking journey. You will enter into the amazing rain forest (gorilla sanctuary) as it offers an exciting, heavily forested and dense landscape interrupted by plenty of animal trails that provide access for tourists tracking these resident animals.  The charming mountain gorillas form the highlight of the park, you will continue to the misty Bwindi forest in search of the world’s most sought after and endangered species. The trekking adventure takes you through impressive hikes exploring the attractive forest landscapes characterized by rugged terrain which makes it quite challenging to explore.

The time and track taken while looking for these beautiful primates varies according to their movements. They are always on the move. The duration of the activity may vary between 2 – 8 hours inclusive of one (1) hour direct contact with them as they forage, socialize and make their joyous tactics with the frightening eyes of the Silverback.

Once tracked, observing, spending time with and photographing these gentle, peaceful and shy apes is a unique, breathtaking, inspiring, and thrilling life time memorable adventure that leaves you desiring to have it again. Retire from this activity and return to your lodge of stay for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer back to entebbe or kampala

After breakfast you will transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala, have a stopover at the Uganda Equator crossing Kayabwe for lunch and to encounter the world’s main latitude and purchase African handicrafts and souvenirs and a thrilling cool photo session. There is also an amazing local water experiment that proves the earth split-up into two halves, the north and south spheres.
